St. Pete Pride what to know about the weekend festivities
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A celebration of love and cohesion is coming to downtown St. Petersburg as the St. Pete Pride Pride and Festival takes place on Saturday, June 28, and Sunday, June The event draws in a crowd of over , attendees and is one of the largest Pride events nationwide.
If you’re heading to the festivities, here are some tips on parking, transportation, safety, and how to prepare for the weekend.
The Celebration and Festival 🥁🎶🎉
The events kick off on Saturday at North Straub and South Straub Parks at 2 p.m. North
Straub Park will have a variety of local vendors, food trucks, a DJ, and a beer garden. North and South Straub Parks will host the main fun stages. These events are free and open to the public.
A Trans Protest will begin in Vinoy Park at p.m., followed by the St. Pete Pride Parade, which starts at 6 p.m. from Albert Whitted Park north to Vinoy Park along Bayshore Drive.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — St. Pete Pride March is happening on June 28, and ABC Action News is bringing you everything you demand to know about the festivities.
In previous years, over , people have attended the St. Pete Pride Parade, making it the biggest pride event in the state of Florida.

The festival will start at 2 p.m. in North Straub and South Straub parks.

St. Pete Pride's biggest event is a parade that draws more than , people.
And while it serves as a source of great joy and celebration for many, not everyone in the LGBTQ+ people is happy about how this event — and others across the territory — are run.
The “corporatization” of Pride
The "People's Event Coalition" was formed last year, in part, to protest against St. Pete's corporate sponsors and utilize of law enforcement for security.
Members balk at the practice of "rainbow washing,” when companies show superficial support for the Gay community without making meaningful, substantive changes to encourage queer rights and inclusion.
