Can i be gay and go to heaven
Is being gay a sin?
Answer
In order to answer the question “Is being same-sex attracted a sin?” we dependency to challenge some assumptions upon which the doubt is based. Within the past fifty years, the term gay, as applied to homosexuality, has exploded into mainstream culture, and we are told that “being gay” is as much outside one’s supervise as “being short” or having blonde hair. So the question is worded in a loaded way and impossible to adequately answer in that build. We need to interval this question up and deal with each piece separately. Rather than request, “Is being gay a sin?” we need to ask, “Is it sinful to have same-sex attractions?” And, “Is it sinful to engage in lgbtq+ activities because of those attractions?”
Concerning the first scrutinize, “Is it sinful to have same-sex attractions?” the answer is complicated. First, we should probably distinguish between (actively) sinning and (passively) being tempted:
Being temptedis not a sin. Jesus was tempted, but He never sinned (Matthew ; Hebrews ). Eve was tempted in the garden, and the forbidden fruit definitely appealed to her,
What Does the Bible Say About Homosexuality?
What Does The Bible Utter About Homosexuality?
Introduction
For the last two decades, Pew Research Center has reported that one of the most enduring ethical issues across Christian traditions is sexual diversity. For many Christians, one of the most frequently first-asked questions on this topic is, “What does the Bible say about attraction to someone of the matching sex?”
Although its unlikely that the biblical authors had any notion of sexual orientation (for example, the term homosexual wasn't even coined until the sdelayed 19th century) for many people of faith, the Bible is looked to for timeless guidance on what it means to honor God with our lives; and this most certainly includes our sexuality.
Before we can bounce into how it is that Christians can maintain the authority of the Bible and also affirm sexual diversity, it might be helpful if we started with a terse but clear overview of some of the assumptions informing many Christian approaches to understanding the Bible.

I know the Bible says it’s a sin, but it also says that the only unforgivable sin is not accepting Jesus. If a Lgbtq+ person accepts Jesus but does not change his lifestyle, can he move to Heaven? I have a cousin who’s Gay.

You’ve asked a very vital question—and a very hard one.
And you are exactly right: there is only one sin that is unforgivable. That is the sin of not believing and not receiving Jesus Christ into your life.
A same-sex attracted or homosexual person can acceptChrist, just as an alcoholic, a drug addict, or a mass-murderer can accept Christ. Jesus’ offer of salvation is expose to everyone.
Your doubt is whether someone can acceptChrist, not change his lifestyle, and still move to heaven. The Bible teaches that if someone has truly accepted Christ into his experience, nothing can preserve him out of Heaven. In John , Christ says of Christians,
“I grant them eternal existence, and they shall never perish; no one can take them out of My hand.”
So, Lucy the real doubt, I believe, is whether
A: First off, let me say that I can decide no ones salvation. Only God can ultimately know if a person is saved or not. Of course, if a person has surrendered his or her life to Jesus Christ and accepted what the Bible says a person must do to be saved, then that person WILL be saved. (For the sake of space, I will not go through the steps. Please see: Jesus Died For You!)
According to the Bible, a key step in salvation is repentance. Repentance and salvation are connected over and over (Acts )(Mk )(2 Cor )(Mt )(Heb ). In coming to Jesus, we must ALL admit that we are sinners, and we need His sacrificial payment for our sins. We must also feel great sorrow and remorse for our sins, and be willing to rotate from them, forsake them, and go in a new advice with our lives. This is repentance. If we are willing to turn, God will assist us. However, if we show up to Christ unwilling to spin from sin, we cannot contain a saving relationship with Him.
Looking at repentance in regards to homosexuality, the Bible clearly says that homosexuality is a sin (Lev )(Lev )(Rom ,)(1 Tim
