While the primary language of the film is Bengali and English, it manages to address exactly what it needs to. It’s about queer folx creature shunned out of culture, being kept at bay and away from affectionate & community. But when have we ever paid heed to that?
Queering the Movement
Watching the documentary is a bitter-sweet experience that’s comical, awkward, sarcastic, eye-rolling, and honestly, a petite sad. It takes us through the lives and romantic aspirations of Gourab Ghosh (he/him), Sayan (he/him), and Debalina, three gay adults looking for a marriage match for themselves. About Us
The Dot Cotton Club has been a staple of the LGBTQ+ scene in Cambridge for over 30 years, seeing s of cheerful clubbers dance and drink the nighttime away, originally at The Junction and Nusha bar, then Q-Club and now The Union Cellar Bar on Orbicular Church Street (on the 1st Saturday of each month). The music policy is pop, dance, remixes, mashups, cheese and R&B but we will play almost anything that gets people on their feet!
