I grew up obsessed with Beauty queen movies
like “Miss Congeniality” and “Drop Lifeless Gorgeous”. What they taught me (even though they’re fiction) is that a beauty queen should be more than just a attractive face.
Whether its Gracie Hart solving a blackmail plot or Rebecca Ann Lehman blowing up her rivals; a beauty queen needs something to believe in.
I feel in advocacy for gay rights. Particularly the presence of same sex relationship learning process in school. That’s why my last solo show, Can't Stop A Rainbow, was inspired by the park field academy riots. I'm priviliged to have a voice on stage (however camp that voice may be) and I wish to ensure that my jokes acquire content and meaning.
Most of you will know me as a stand up comic, or an actor, or a circus aerialist. I am all those things but I have also worked extensively in areas of social justice and inequality. I led a study piece into initial rehabilitation of home abuse perpetrators. I developed programs to tackle type 2 diabetes. I

This (real) letter was blue-tacked to my flat's front door, and thus sparked a neighbourhood feud over both my sexuality, and the placement of the blue bins.
Determined to find tranquility, and not let the conflict consume me, I sought advice and interviewed experts: a dog trainer, a historian, a Middle East peace negotiator and, of course, my Auntie Clare.
WITH LOVE, MR. GAY is my genuine story, featuring cabaret, comedy, interviews and showtunes, as I'm accompanied by the personification of a laughing Buddha statue from B&M, who acts as my unlikely spiritual guide.
Unite us on our earnest and hilarious mission to find fabulous ways of ending deeply personal battles - even when the idea of peace seems impossible.
