Taron egerton is he gay

Last month, Instinctreported on a vague social media post by actor Taron Egerton that seemed like a casual coming out moment.

The year-old posted a pic of a friend with the caption, “Cutie. My boy."

When an Instagram user asked if the fellow in the photo was Egerton’s boyfriend/girlfriend, the Kingsman actor liked the comment

Another user asked for the guy’s identify to which Egerton replied, “Nah, he’s mine and mine only.”

All very coy and upbeat, but it certainly got the interwebs in an uproar as the post garnered over 34, likes and comments.

It turns out the handsome actor was just being playful.

In an interview with Radio Times, Egerton explained, “One of the lads was at my London level and I Instagrammed a picture of him and said ‘Look at this cutie’, and a million outlets reported I was coming out as gay.”

“I’m not gay but two of my mates came out when I was 15 and it was a happiness to support them because, as a group, we are all secure in who we are,” he added. “I’m

Rocketman Star Taron Egerton Addresses Straight Actors Playing Same-sex attracted Roles

The debate continues over whether it's appropriate for straight actors to engage gay roles in movies and TV shows, as this is something that has resulted in online criticism in recent years. Perhaps that's a signal of how quickly things can start to switch in Hollywood, as it wasn't so long ago when Taron Egerton won a Golden Globe Award for doing just that. The actor played openly gay singer Elton John in the acclaimed biopic Rocketman, released by Dexter Fletcher in In addition to earning big profits at the box office, the movie had also drawn a lot of praise for Egerton in particular with the reviews from critics.

It could be speculated that Egerton may not have been considered for that role if Rocketman were to travel into production today, given the scrutiny over unbent actors portraying gay people. In any case, Egerton, who also played a gay character in the West End production of Cock, has shared his thoughts on the matter in a new interview with THR. He says how he's long been a su

Taron Egerton Here!

Wasn't sure which thread to bump, so I figured this would suffice.

I went to a screening of Rocketman tonight in the city and there was a short, very brief, Q&A with Taron afterwards. Not adequately attended, as it was cold as fuck tonight and the movie had already been out for a while now. The director was supposed to be there, but he cancelled due to having a stomach virus. Taron and the moderator kept mentioning that he was vomiting a lot, which is TMI.

Anyways, long story short, movie sucked balls, the trippy scenes were weird as fuck and the way they used Elton's music was just bizarre. Especially the one number with Elton as a kid and his parents singing like they were in the business of Annie or Oliver. WTF was that all about?

So Taron shows up late, but let me tell you boys, he is fine as fuck. Very attractive. The only sad part is he's such a closet case and has a beard now too. He mentioned that his "girlfriend" was in the audience and I was ready to burst out laughing. So pathetic for a closeted gay to be playing an openly gay entertainer. Pathetic. He

The festive clip Carry-On, starring Taron Egerton as Ethan Kopek, a TSA intermediary blackmailed by a mysterious traveller (played by Jason Bateman), has just landed on Netflix. Egerton, famed for his roles in the Kingsman films and his portrayal of Elton John in Rocketman, was directed by Jaume Collet-Serra in this new venture.

Egerton revealed to Netflix: "When Jaume first approached me about the role, I told him I didn't want to do something that felt like an archetypal action hero. Luckily, neither of us thought that's what was exciting or interesting about Ethan.

"What we kept our eyes on was making sure that we made him feel as relatable and as normal as feasible whatever normal is in the extraordinary situation he's in."

The year-old actor from Wales began his career in stage plays before gaining fame as Eggsy in the Kingsman series.

He has two younger half-sisters and although born in England, he identifies as Welsh. His paren
