The beaches in Katapola of Amorgos are mainly sandy and stretch both from the port side and beyond the settlement of Xylokeratidi! The more popular are Maltezi and Plakes beaches.

Umbrellas and sunbeds are available to rent, while the local beach bar promises to make your day even more enjoyable, with snacks, coffee, and cool drinks. The rest of the beach is free and non-organized, for you to enjoy your swim.

Maltezi beach is easily accessible by boat which operates every half hour (30′) from the beginning of July to the beginning of September and every hour in June and September and starts from the pier, in the port of Katapola. If you prefer to walk, the footpath starts in Xylokeratidi, one of the three neighborhoods of Katapola.
