Actor Gilles Marini: &#;It&#;s Very Uncool to be in the Closet Nowadays&#; &#; VIDEO

Actor Gilles Marini is asked if he would ever falsehood to help a legendary gay friend stay closeted.

Says Marini:

"We're in I reflect it's very uncool to be in the closet nowadays. I never was a witness in any wedding in my existence, and the first period I was a witness in a wedding in my life was for my dear friends Philippe and David–same-sex couple–and I think it was fantastic. Don't stay in the closet. You'll only impair your heart and, down the line, probably your family. They need to know the truth about what you like and what you want in life."

Brothers & Sisters alum Gilles Mariniis on a roll. He’s following guest stints on TV Land’s Hot in Cleveland, ABC Family’s Switched at Birth, and a newly announced appearance on ABC’s Emmy-winning Modern Family with a steamy guest spot on Chelsea Handler’s midseason comedy for NBC.

Marini guest stars on the second episode of Are You There, Vodka, It’s Me Chelsea as a handsome French chef who heats things up as a love interest for Chelsea (played by Laura Prepon).

“I’m shooting [Are You There Vodka, It’s Me Chelsea] this week,” Marini tells us. “And then next week I’m jumping on Modern Family. The roles I’ve been playing are very different. I played a captain on Hot in Cleveland, a chef on the Chelsea Handler show, and then on Modern Family something very much different.”

The former Brothers & Sisters star will materialize on the exhibit as the captain of a male lover cruise ship. Victoria (Wendie Malick) and Joy (Jane Leeves) are invited for a trip on the boat after they got married during a boozy night in Canada.

Both fall for the captain.

In other words, it sounds enjoy the two ladies may be outed as straight after pretending to be same-sex loving partners to help revive Victoria's soap opera acting stardom.

Season 3 premieres in November.



"Sex and the City" hunk Gilles Marini minced few words on whether or not famous homosexual people should stay closeted in a "bethenny" appearance this week.

"We're in I think it's very uncool to be in the closet nowadays," the French-American actor and "Dancing With The Stars" contestant declared.

He also recalled the experience of witnessing a same-sex wedding for his friends Philippe and David, noting, "I think it was fantastic. Don't stay in the closet. You'll only hurt your heart and, down the line, probably your family. They need to know the truth about what you like and what you want in life."
